Flood & Water Damage Services

To the untrained eye, cleaning up the mess is only the first step. Considering the class of water (1, 2 or 3) and the age of the home must be at the forefront of any restoration expert. This is because dirty water is treated differently from clean water and, the age of the home could increase the necessity to have the building finishes tested for designated substances such as asbestos or lead before the building materials are opened up to help facilitate the drying process. The emergency service business is a skill set that employs/demands a restorer to understand the science of dehumidification of a building as to not “over dry” a building which would have an adverse affect. This business is a serious one that requires constant education and the most up to date equipment and knowledge. EFR is an IICRC certified firm that has the knowledge, experience and expertise to restore your home or business not only fast, but also properly.

Not only is the class of water important to know but also the age of the home. If your home was built before 1989 then the concern for asbestos containing materials is a definite. The category of water is also crucial on how the water damage home or business is treated. Water is categorized into 3 categories. Category 1 , 2 or 3.
